About this area :

Cornwall, is the far south western tip of England and has an awesome selection of windsurfing and kitesurfing locations. In fact it's so far south and west that most maps and forecasts just miss it out (there's more to the southwest of England than Bristol - but that's another story)...

With locations working in just about every wind direction and water state from blasting in Falmouth bay or down-the-line wave sailing at Gwithian, it's all here.

The South coast tends be more geared to slalom, blasting and freestyle as the prevailing swells have a harder time wrapping around Lands End and the Lizard. However, the Marazion beaches in Mounts Bay can produce excellent conditions. For full on wavesailing then head North to Hayle, Gwithian, Fistral, Watergate and Daymer Bay or West to Sennen (in fact you can't get much further West!).

The coastline is a mix of rugged rocky cliffs, rolling sunken valleys and long golden beaches. Most sailing spots have easy access, parking, refreshments (accommodation and nightlife).

If the winds not blowing so hard you can always find something going as the county's main source of income is tourism.

Whatever watersport you're into, and whether you ride an AHD, Bic, Brunotti, Drops, ECB, F2, Fanatic, HiFly, JP, Lorch, Mistral, Naish, North, RRD or Starboard, always check local conditions before sailing. Check tides times, talk to locals / lifeguards, look for rips and other currents. The WindWatcher gives an idea of places to sail, after that it's up to you and at your own risk.

We've no responsibility for it's accuracy, so please use at your own risk. Be sure you take time to observe local conditions, tides, shoredumps, waves, rips etc. before you sail. Please keep beaches tidy and respect other water users. Force reload : 1280401263
